Retreat FAQ

How do I get to the retreat location?

All registrants are responsible for their transportation to the trip location; however, we will try to arrange car pools for longer distances!

Do I have to be experienced at hiking, camping, or being in the outdoors?

Absolutely not! These retreats are for all levels of experience. In fact, trips would be a safe way to try new outdoor recreation activities as a beginner because you will feel supported and valued.

What do I need to bring with me?

The facilitator will provide a list of what to bring well in advance of the retreat date. Overnight retreats are all-inclusive, including lodging and food. Day retreats vary so be sure to check retreat details prior to the day.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

For cabin lodging retreats, sleeping arrangements will depend on the cabin layout. To keep registration costs affordable, there may be times that participants will be asked if open to sharing a sleeping space with another or that a sturdy air mattress/cot will be an option. Sleeping arrangements will be determined prior to the retreat, so there will be no surprises for participants. 

What happens if the weather is bad?

The retreat will occur rain or shine! If severe weather does occur, we will follow the guidelines as set by the facilities we are staying in. Be sure to pack the appropriate clothing based on weather conditions. Packing tips for the weather will be included in a preparatory email.

Can I get a refund if I cannot attend the retreat?

Multi-Day Retreats: Should you decide to cancel your registration for ANY reason, including unforeseen illness or injury, you may receive a 50% refund if it is more than one week prior to the retreat. If you cancel under 7 days, no refund will be issued.

Day Retreats: No refunds will be given.

Please make sure you are committed to the trip before registering. If for any reason the trip is cancelled by the facilitator, you will receive a full refund. There will be a minimum registration limit for each retreat. If the minimum is not met, you will receive a full refund.

Can I set up a payment plan for the cost of the retreat?

Yes! Payment plans are available and will be specified in the retreat information. Please talk to the facilitator if you need other payment arrangements.

How are retreat registration fees determined?

Retreats are an investment in your healing and growth. Registration fees are intentionally set to be substantially lower than other wellness/nature retreats and experiences across the country with the aim of making them feasible and accessible to as many as possible. Fees will vary across retreat offerings based on location and lodging accommodations, therapeutic expertise offerings, and length.

What safety precautions are in place for COVID-19?

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required for all participants. Depending on the positive case numbers in the state leading up to the retreat, True Nature Therapy reserves the right to require a negative test from all participants regardless of vaccination status. 

Can I sign up if I do not have anyone to go with me?

OF COURSE!!! Part of the experience is meeting new people who have similar interests, experiences, goals, and healing processes! Challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone and meet some new folks. It will be amazing!
